If you like to create homes for your sims than maybe you`re interested in architecture too(more or less  )
So post some pictures of your N-Hood or Town/City where you live and show some fine examples of your local architecture

The pictures below are all made by me in my hometown.I live in the south West of Germany

PHILADELPHIA, PA
Image
That's our city hall.

Image
Our skyline.

Image
The Schuylkill (pronounced Sku-kull) Expressway, or I-76. I don't suggest you ever take this expressway unless needed. It is always jammed. :P

Image
Schuylkill Expwy again.

Image
The Philadelphia Italian Market, simply known to us Philadelphians as either 'South Philly' or 'the Italian Market'.

Image
Roosevelt Boulevard, a 12 lane (local for most of it) highway-type thingy that runs from the Schuylkill Expwy to the very tip of Northeast Philly. We simply know it as 'The Boulevard' (bull-a-vard). ;)

Image
Boathouse Row on the Schuylkill River.

Image
Your average Philadelphia rowhome.

Image
The Ben Franklin Parkway and the Museum of Art. A favorite thing of locals and tourists alike is to run up the steps like Rocky did. :)

Image
The Ben Franklin Bridge, connecting Philadelphia to Camden, NJ. It was the longest bridge in the world from 1926-1929. :)

Image
The Frankford Avenue bridge over the Pennypack Creek. Still sees heavy usage (as Frankford Ave is one of the busiest streets in Philly). Not many people know this, but it is the oldest bridge in America.

If I ever visit philly the first thing Im gonna do is run up the steps like rocky. then Im going to go to west philly and shoot some b-ball outside of the school. I just hope I dont run into any guys up to no good. Ya know the kind, startin trouble in the neighborhoods. Also Im not sure about the oldest bridge thing, there are some pretty rickty bridges around here that look like they were made from matchsticks and spit so I just assume they are old. :p

Any way great pics everyone.

Such nice towns. Uh, I'll post the pics of my dump too.

Welcome to Bratislava. Here's the main square:

St. Michael's gate:

Obchodná Ulica, or the Market Street in English:
Image
The Old National Theatre:
Image
One of the narrow streets in old Downtown:
Image
Other cities have castles haunted by ghosts, our castle IS a ghost! (not really):
Image
Polus City Center, one of the many shopping centers, and the oldest post-communist era one:
Image
Nový Most, or the New Bridge in English. That thing on the top is alled UFO and is a restaurant, and it was built from the real UFO that crashed here in 1979 (LMAO just kidding.):
Image
The Radio "Tower", if you can call it tower that is, since the whole thing is basically... an inverted pyramid:
Image
The presidential palace:
Image
Hotel spirit, A.K.A. Hurrr, durt irst da Derpy Buirrrding!
Image
The main train station, one of the s*ttiest train stations in the world. Seriously, it is a dump:
Image
And here are two pics from the apartment districts, the gray Lovecraftian nightmare built from concrete that make more than a half of the city:

We also have an Inverted Pyramid, but it suppose to be torn down soon, to be replaced with something new :(

Al Lang Field (AKA Florida Power Park), used to be the main MLB field before Tropicana Field opend, some MLB games are still held here

Awesome pics everybody!
I do like architecture, so I'm really enjoying this.

Just for the record, there's a similar thread named "show us your hometown" at Vovillia Corp. here.
