Over at EA Origin, you can get them the expansions packs for $5 each. There's also the Sims 2 stand alone for $5 too if you dont have the Sims 2 or whatever.

Just download EA Origin, create an account, buy, download, and install, and you should be all set. Plus, once everything is installed, you don't need EA Origin to be online, you can just click on the .exe of the latest game, and that's it.

I got both Freetime 2 and Apartment life. EA Origin is like Steam, but mainly for EA games at the moment.
