Let me link you to my recent project of slaving the cars from VPN's garage. So far it includes 62 cars and 68 recolors (62 x 68 = 4,216). The textures are not very rusty, just a bit grungy like a car that hasn't been washed for several weeks (or months).

I made an update for the 1965 Ford Mustang, now you can change the windows without leaving the game! :) Please report if the windows appear red for you.

Awesome stuff! Unfortunately, VPN's cars already all have 5 pages of recolors each, I'd download but my downloads folder would become animate and brutally kill me.
