WELCOME EVERYONE!!!!

I have here the owner of this site, car creator......VOVILLIA!!!!!

Hi Hannibal

Hi Vovillia, good to talk to you, let me start with a simple question,
How old are you and where do you live?

I am 18 years old, and I live in Saint Petersburg, Florida

How did you first become involved in car creation for the Sims2?

I was introduced to car mods by Masterofpuppets, he was the best recolourer around on the old S2CS, he even helped me become a recolourer later on

What gave you the idea to start up this site?

It was shortly after when the old S2CS closed down and MTS2 was being difficult, so I decided to create my own site, with the help from JC4263, and in return, I helped him start up Sim2objectsource(S2OS)

You seem to be able to create a car within a day or so, how can you do this, when other creators take ages to release new cars?

Well, I am not sure why it takes so long for others, but maybe they just want to make it look nice, or they waited so late on asking for permissions, for me I am about 2 even 3 months in advance for the cars, some of the creators of the meshes or people who converted them elsewhere and gave me some info on some loopholes on meshes that games from computer games, like Need For Speed or Test Drive, don't need permission, I just have to make sure I don't sell them

What would you say is the easiest car you have ever made?

My easiest car I have ever made was the Lincoln Town Car, it took about 40-45 minuets to do

What’s your favourite car you’ve done and why?

My most favorite car that I have ever done would have to be my 1969 Camaro, I loved Camaros since I was a little kid

What is the hardest car you’ve ever created?

The hardest car that I have ever made would be my first one, since I didn't know what I was doing, the trial and error period was long and slow, and almost took me a month to finish it

Have you ever started creating a car and scrapped it due to difficulties?

Yes, there are many that I have scrapped, mostly due to meshes having too much poly, or the mesh simply "blew up" in some of the tools that I use while either converting the mesh to a different file or while working on it

Do you ever get envious when you see another creators creations?

Not at all, I am glad to see more and more people making cars theses days, instead of just being me sometimes

Who is your sims2 car creator mentor?

Fresh-Prince was my mentor from the very beginning of my creations, and later on, TreZillah helped me a bit and also told me about some tricks that I learned and used on my newer cars

Do you have a favorite car created by someone else?

My most favorite car made by another person would have to be FoxAlfa's R34 Skyline GT-R, and I also like TreZillah's Delorean DMC-12 and Fresh-Prince's R35 GT-R Proto

What would be your advice to car creator wannabees?

My advice, ask questions, learn by practicing on meshes that are in a SimPE file, then later on, you should be able to start making remeshes, and if you do, don't forget to ask permission from the creator of the mesh you remeshed, that is, if you are planning to post it somewhere

Your site has gone from strength to strength, what do you put the success down to?

To be honest, I am not sure, I mean for a long while, my site was empty, I didn't have more than a dozen members within the first few months, but as soon as I started to do remeshes, it grew, then into car creation, it now won't stop growing, and I hope it will continue as well

Are you in regular contact with any other car creators outwith your own site?

Yes I am, the other creators are a great help with my site, keeping ti active during the time of day when I can't get to my computer, and when they need help, I am more than happy to help them

Do you have any special projects coming up?

Right now, I am working on a lot of cars for the BIG 100th car anniversary, I am not sure how many cars, but it will be a parking lot full

What’s your plans for the site when the Sims3 is released?

My site will support both games, and I will make cars for both games, but after a while, I will only make cars for Sims3 , unless requested to be in the Sims 2 also

Thanks for your time Vovillia. It's great to get an insight into where you came from and how you got where you are today. I'm sure I speak for everyone when i say well done, thank you for the wonderfull creations you have made, and how we look forward to your 100th anniversary.

You're welcome and thank you for having me here, Hannibal
