For the last week or 2, whenever I run TS2, I get a blue screen message, the stop error 0x00000101 or 0x00000124 randomly, but sometimes I don't get any error, the game will work fine or the computer might just freeze up and I can even hear the tone that a device was deactivated and then the computer freezes, I just had my computer looked at by 5 different tech guys in the past week and I talked and blogged to a bunch of other tech guys, but the computer is fine according to all of them and the steps I was told to do with the computer didn't solve these issues, I don't have any damaged or faulty hardware, I was just wondering if anyone here could give me some F*ND on this, I only have this issue on my TS2 game, I have also tried a clean uninstall, no mods, have only one hood in-game while playing, but I still get those errors randomly

I'm just lucky that I can be in-game long enough to test my cars and get pics of them

I had a similar problem recently. All I done was go into the NVIDIA control panel and reduce the quality from high to medium, and I haven't had it since. If it's not an NVIDIA card you have, I'm not sure if this option will be available to you.

Try adjusting your screen display. i.e change it to classic mode rather than standard XP or Vista. Your taskbar etc should be grey. That worked for me.

I'm no tech guy, but maybe the game's CD from underneath is just damaged.... If that's the problem then you need a new TS2.....
If that's not the problem then I'm stumped.....

the CD is fine no scratches or cracks, since the game works fine on the other computer, besides the fact it's very, very slow on the old one

I notice something strange, I accidentally left FF open in the background while in TS2 and for 2 days and about 6 times going back in forth in the game while leaving my FF open in background, the computer didn't act up with the errors

Have you tried running the game with only 1 family in the town this has improved my game where i can play for hours 8 + with tones of custom music and 2.5 gig of downloads .

I started having problems with the very latest Nvidia update i went back to the only stable version this year for my PC 7.15.11.8250 you can also try that my card is GeForce 9800 GT 512 mb GDDR3 i have 8GB DDR2 800MHZ RAM and a Core 2 Quad Q9450 with a 1200 PSU so no its not your computer .

You can also try turning off DEP ( DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION ) for TS2 this way windows does not monitor the game and hands control over to the processor ( WINDOWS VISTA ) START > RIGHT CLICK COMPUTER > LEFT CLICK PROPERTIES >TOP LEFT UNDER TASKS > LEFT CLICK ADVANCED SYSTEM SETTINGS > ADVANCED TAB > PERFORMANCE > SETTINGS > DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION > MAKE SURE ON THE BOTTOM OF WINDOW YOU SEE THE MESSAGE " YOUR COMPUTERS PROCESSOR SUPPORTS HARDWARE BASED DEP " CLICK THE GREYED OUT CIRCLE TURN ON DEP FOR ALL PROGRAMS AND SERVICES EXEPT THOSE I CHOOSE > ADD THE GAMES EXECUTABLE FILE > ADD > FROM THE LOOK IN DROP DOWN BOX CHOOSE ( LOCAL DISK C:) DEPENDING ON YOUR OS VERSION YOU WILL SEE ( PROGRAM FILES ) & PROGRAM FILES X86 IF YOU HAVE A 64 BIT OS TS2 WILL BE IN PROGRAM FILES X86 > EA GAMES > LEFT CLICK YOUR BASE GAME ( I WOULD CLICK THE SIMS 2 DELUXE BECAUSE THIS IS MY BASE GAME ) > LEFT CLICK EP2 ( MY BASE GAME )> LEFT CLICK TSBIN > LEFT CLICK SIMS2EP2 . You will also have to do the same for your most recent installed expansion pack because this is the one you will be playing at the moment. :D

my computer doesn't have DEP, becuase of the processor, but I got everything worked out, restarting the computer right before I play TS2, then I could play the game on and off for the rest of the day just fine

my sims 2 takes ages to load,i have to wiggle the mouse every 5 mins otherwise it will terminate itself because i have about 5 gb of custom content, but when it loads, it freezes itself and goes to a blue screen with just music.the mouse is also there, with the egg timer saying its loading  :growl
