I originally thought I deleted this, but I found it in my catalog next to a recent conversion

A little history about this, more or less a year ago, someone requested (not saying who) a tuned version of the GMC Yukon, so I made this, the requester didn't like it and wanted a lot more out of it, maybe a ricer or soemthing, so I got mad and scrapped it, or at least I thought I did, apparently I was so upset I forgot to delete it

This poll will last 2 weeks, whether this is junk or treasure, the end result should be obvious of what happens

Please, don't forget to vote, this has great importance :)

For the detail of the GMC, it is a great model :) ! Especially being a panel style version. I really like this, and think it's a great truck to have :D ! I say keep it! I'll gladly put this in game :) !

I think it needs a different envmap... it appears that this car uses the one that kitchen appliances use. Set them envmap to outdoordaytime-envcube and it will look much better, otherwise it's a fine model.

It's the same custom one that all my current conversions have, stopped using the in-game ones because of a weird glow that would appear

Really? Hm. I put the old envmap on some of your newer cars and no glow appeared.

It's hard to describe, but I've only see the glow happen on darker colors

Got a screen of it? I'm really curious about how does it look...

I'd need to reproduce the issue then get a screenshot, forgot how exactly I did that, except that it happens with the env texture has bright colors in it and is configured wrongly in the txmt

Hmmm...well the best txmt has your 69 Camaro LT9, in black. I used it for many different colors, and the only ones that have issues are certain tones of red - they turn either very light and pinkish or orange-ish, but dark red works fine.

it must also vary on computer performance, because you must have had a glow issue with the reds then if you got such results as pink and orange-ish colors

May be. But the lighter red also turned pinkish with the original custom envmap. I'm talking about the Miller-Meteor now.

Maybe you could try one of those envmaps I posted back when in the thread about your Chevelle, remember them?

If you desaturate some of them, they can be used as greyscale envs too, some modelers did it when they needed greyscale env for the body of the car.

The one on the bottom right is the one I've been using, tried some of the others ones before, got some weird effects
