Welcome everyone to Hannibal's Hotseat.

It gives me great pleasure to introduce someone who has been creating Sims cars for a long, long time. He has his own successful site and we have all been amazed at his creations. Please welcome....Fresh Prince!!

Hi Fresh Prince, How are you?
Hey there Hannibal. I'm doing quite well, thank you!

You have surpassed many Sims 2 creators with your amazing car creations, did you ever think when you started that you would become so popular?
I don't consider myself too popular, but I never thought I would wind up like this when I first started. It's amazing that I have my own site and the amount of visits and downloads I receive are mind boggling to me. I never expected it.

You're site is very popular amongst the Sims community, how does this make you feel?
It makes me feel very welcomed into the sims community. It makes me feel so honored that people visit a site just for my creations. It's nice to be noticed for the work you do.

Who was your teacher for car creation?
I didn't really have a main teacher, but I had lots of people who have helped me along the way. VampCat, JMS, Numenor, VoVillia, The Great Oz and I'm sure many more. I couldn't make it to where I am today without all those wonderful artists.

What do you look for when choosing your your next Sims car?
I usually look for popular cars that the majority of people seem to like. I also look online to see if I have the appropriate resources to make the car, such as a workable mesh, reference pictures, and so on. I usually have to get inspired to make a car. Usually when I see a car on the road that I like, I'll make it.

What do you get up to when not working on car creation?
Not much, haha. I hang out with friends, listen to music, do homework, basically typical things. I really try to make cars when ever I have the time, since I love it.

Have you ever met any of your fans or been asked for an autograph?
I've never met any of my fans or been asked for an autograph. Haha, that would be really awesome if that happened though.

How difficult was it to learn car creation for the Sims 3 after creating so many cars for the Sims 2?
It was quite challenging, since I had been so used to the Sims 2 creating tools and rules, the sims 3 was hard to adjust to. It is still quite a challenging thing since I am limited to what I can make.

Has anyone ever got aggressive either by email or PM when you refused to do a request?
Oh yes, all the time. If I don't get some person angry with me or mad for not making a car, then it hasn't been a typical day, lol. You'd really be surprised at the amount of people who get angry for not doing what they demand. But I must say that there have been some extremely kind and generous people who have been so nice to me at the same time. So it all evens out.

Have you taught others to create their own cars?
I must say I haven't, probably because I'm the worst explainer ever, haha. People have asked me to make tutorials, and I've tried, but it just doesn't work out.

You don't create as many Sims 2 cars as you used to although there are still a lot of Sims 2 players, are you releasing any more cars for the Sims 2?
I do plan on releasing more cars for Sims 2, just not as frequently as Sims 3. A lot of the cars I make for TS3 have already been made for TS2. The process of making cars for TS3 is in a way is more fun and satisfying, because I don't have to make new textures for recolors, and I dont have to worry about regrouping and editing the mesh to animate the doors. I've made TS2 cars for about 5 years now, so it's gotten a little boring. TS3 cars look more realistic, which is why I've been making them. I still plan on making cars for TS2 though.

A bit about yourself now.
Do you drive? if so what do you drive?
Yes I do. I drive a 1997 Honda Civic Coupe. I really quite enjoy it, although I don't like it when my car trunk falls on my head, lol.

What is your idea of a good night in and also a good a night out?
A good night in would be listening to some music, working on some sims stuff and just watching some TV and relaxing. A good night out would be hanging out with my friends and going out for dinner.

What are your favourite TV programs?
I enjoy watching Everyone Loves Raymond, Cake Boss, Modern Family, Seinfeld and a few others.

If you had to choose one person to be marooned on a desert island with, who would it be and why?
Haha, quite an interesting question. I'd probably choose Britney Spears because I think she would be fun to hang out with, and she'd probably be quite entertaining to be with, lol.

Are you a sporting man, do you watch or play sport? if so which sports?
I'm not really a sports man, but I occasionally watch a football or soccer game. I used to play soccer for about 10 years until I formed a type of asthma.

What do you do full time?
I am a full time student in college and I also work part time at my school.

What are your plans for the future?
I am currently a graphic design major, but am reconsidering changing my major to something else at school. I honestly don't know what I want to do in the future. I'd absolutely love to do what I do now for the rest of my life, making cars that is. All I know is that one of my lifelong dreams is to one day own a black Audi, haha.

When do you think will be your time to 'step down' from Sims 2 car creation (although we dread that day)
Haha, I really dont know. I dread that day too, lol. It depends on what the future brings. I'd love to do this all through college and afterwards, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Fresh prince, many thanks for spending some time for this interview and I hope you never stop creating. thank you very much. Take care.

Thank you so much for the interview and opportunity! I appreciate it a lot!

Fantastic interview!

It's so great to know more about the "real life" person behind the great creators like F-P and Vovi.

Thanks a lot, Hann!
