Hi everyone, this is my first time coming/registering to this site and love all the new and numerous vehicles. I just recently installed Sims 2 after 1.5 years; stopped playing because my old POS computer was just tooo slow (did vowed to play again once i get a new rig), especially with all the custom contents (7gb+). A couple months ago, I finally built my new rig (a year overdue) and decided to try out Sims 2 for old time sake and got a bit hooked. I have backups, but the game just keeps on crashing with the old data. It took a while, but decided that the best way was to backup the homes and create a new neighborhood and install the homes. I think through modularizing the homes into backups (ie packaging) and using TS2 Enhancer or SIMPE to reconnect the family's info would be the best thing in order to avoid crashes.

With my new rig, I am able to load the game like within 2-3 mins, 1-2 mins in my neighborhood, 1-2 mins to a large home; note 7.5gb of CC. Without my new rig, the game would have been buried, I mean, the loading into game of 15 mins, 3 mins into the neighorhood, and the possibility of a crash and repeat was just tooo much from my old rig. Plus, the FPS was a kicker too. Anyway, I did got myself Sims 3 for free last year at EA, but the game didn't appealed me...(played months before release).

Now, with much interest I am back playing Sims 2 but with more focus in building up families and homes which I didn't do as much as i wanted due to the whole car(s) involvement.

Anyhoo, just wanted to say hello, thank you for the quality and numerous cars, Vovillia. So far, I am impressed with the level of your work, if the old admins and car creators of S2CS were playing, they would too. All I can say is that you have made a great stride through continuous improvement with your work. The quality reminds me the works of the best from the Sims 2 community.

And I know what you mean there, I've timed my computer before and it takes 28 minutes to load my game, then another 10-15 to load the town/house. I wish I had the super computer you do!
