here's a pic of a group of most of the clunkers we took in at my dealer:

Image

insaaaaneeee amount of cars. i'll admit, there were a few cool cars there that i would have considered buying, like the 5spd CJ jeep that you can see in the picture and also a late 90's toyota tacoma 5spd with only 90k on the clock.

but seriously, a lot of those cars were JUNKboxes and the world is a lot better without their gas guzzling selves on the road. and because of the cash for clunkers program, it was able to help eliminate many of the pre-1995 OBDI cars and eliminate the dyno emissions inspection machine.

i'll admit, though, it was a LOT of fun driving these pieces of junk around and "accidentally" bumping into other clunkers hahah

It's really sad to see such good cars go to waste, most of those cars are much newer than mine, well, I don't have a car anymore, I gave it to my dad, he couldn't afford to get his car fixed

Yeah it amazes me at the amount of waste on that list. IMO they went about the cash for clunkers all wrong cause people were trading in 04-08 cars and people like me who couldnt afford a car payment are still driving around in their old cars. Seems to me that some of the newer cars could have been sold to people like me but oh well I wouldnt want to give up my blazer anyway.

sieze up the engines with some chemical (pretty much lethal injection) and crush them.

This picture proves why I dont like any "Ford Family" or "GM" car made after 1997. They all suck.
