And a blurb from the site about it.....

Quote:
Ford Motorsport R302 Block, 2.83″ Sonny Bryant Billet Racing Crank, Carrillo Rods, JE Dished Pistons, Canton Dry Sump Oil Pan, Raceline 3 stage oil pump, CompCams Timing Gear & Chain, CompCams 35-306-8 Blower/Computer Cam (284/290-.533/.544-LC114), AFR185 Heads, 1.72 Roller Rockers, CompCams Solid Roller Lifters, Ported Lower GT40 Intake with Custom Upper Intake, Twin 55mm throttle bodies, Vortech Fuel rails, Holley 50# Injectors, Accel DFI GenVII Fuel Injection System.

(Yes, FORD!) I already had it! Was going into a ’93 Mustang. Sold it for this ’68 Camaro. Engine is worth to much to let it go. This ought to get the Poo stirring. There is a benefit! I can move it back farther for better weight distribution.

Ewww!
A Ford engine in a Chevy. This doesn`t fit well together.GM Performance sure has some proper engines for that poor camaro.
Besides that, the camaro looks very cool. :02ta

Listen, here where I live you'd be grateful for a Camaro with just any engine.

What amazes me the most is the fact that I have seen plenty of old fords, that people use gm engines, and most of the time people are ok with that. I have seen old GM's with ford rear ends, and people are ok with that, but put a ford motor in a GM and people get all up in arms.

Personally I like it and see nothing wrong with putting that engine in that car. It is something different that will get up and go and at an car show it will take the cake just because of the originality of it all.

I don't get it either. Myself, I'd actually like it. I'd stuff as many other-brand parts as humanly possoble in there, and name the car Frankenmaro.

I think I know, Ford doesn't have much rep for making good engines, well at least where I live they don't :?

Really? Here they actually say Fords have good engines. But then again, I think that local Fords are made in Germany, and German-made (even if they're not designed there) engines are said to be ze best. Worst engine quality reputation here have Fiats, Renaults and Citroëns (but strangely, Peugeots don't although they are from the same concern.).

yeah its really about the same around here. Although it isnt so much that they make bad engines (chrysler takes that trophy hands down in my opinion) cause ford engines, especially the older ones are great engines, it is that ford engines cost more to fix vs. a GM small block and they are a little harder to work on. Now the new ford engines like the Triton that they put into the trucks are complete junk, again in my opinion.

I agree with you entirely, the only thing I ever heard about chrysler's engines is that most of them sound nice

That is one sweet ride. Even if it has a 302, there decent motors to get some sweet performance out of. Awesome pics.
