The Veter is a subcompact hatchback made by the simoviet automaker Smoogo Autos. It's the car that replaced the old and outdated Minima,
produced since 1999. The Veter is a model that needs to sign a new beginning for the Vestorgrad automaker:
after the resignations of Radovan Jitmakusol and the arrival of Dimitry Smoogo, the simoviet automaker needed to discontinue
the model that signed one of their darkest era, so Dimitry Smoogo ordered to the SMED engineers to began the development of a new car,
simple, reliable and with low maintenance costs, a sort of spiritual successor of the 720.
Rumors about the successor of the Minima began to spread until September, when the new "Veter" has been revealed at the 2009 TSA.
The Veter (means "wind" in simoviet language) is a sort of tribute to the great 720, it has a more modern style than the Minima,
and some styling cues are directly inspired by the previous models. Smoogo also returned to use a material that was abandoned with the arrival of the Minima:
the Duroplast, the famous plastic used for the bodywork of 720, is used again for the body of the Veter,
because Smoogo has managed to buy again the production rights. The car comes also with an entirely new engine: the SMED-2009-3C,
a three cylinders two strokes engine, available in the "2ST" trim level, available both in STD or XTD levels.
A four cylinders four strokes engine is also available in the "4ST" trim level, both available in STD or XTD levels.
It introduced also the new Smoogo logo, inspired by the legendary "Wind from the East" logo.
