Lol, well the locking out part is right, but not her closet

Try the house, she is home now, but not bugging me, enjoying the peace while I am on the computer!

So I am getting much done as possible, before she kicks me off again!!

UPDATE-Fun and games

Here is the Van at 95% completion, I just have to adjust the lights and the sitting position, the wheels where easy

I learned a lot of neat tricks while working on this car, like how to get mapping done quicker and easier, and the wheel adjustments too!!

the Poly is kinda high, (about 44K), but 3DS told me about 20K, but oh well

Image

And umm, my sims Travis, wants this pic posted.....
It's him, during his break
Image

You'd think that he'll have enough fun testing my rides out!
.....Even though he flew out of my '83 Camaro while testing it.............

UPDATE--Parts

When I was patching up the interior, I decided to put boxes in the back

Gives it a more lively look and feel to the car!

Image

Sadly, the poly went up about another 2K, to a total of 48K!

I still don't know why the poly is so dang high, all the boxes total about 2K

UPDATE--Ghosts for cars

The car is kinda done.........

Image

All I know that might fix this is something called ANIM group, but I never used it before, so I am at a lost

I got the poly count down to 46988, from 49107, so it isn't as bad as before!

But I do apologize for the high poly, the site where I got the mesh from is full of high poly cars, a Type 2 T6 has about 480K polys!!!!

I also redone the boxes, you can read it now, but I forgot a pic :?

But I will have a pic of the boxes later

Lovely work Vo,major improvement over ol' Wintermuteai's version. One question, would it possible to have recolors that have designs on the sides, like stupid, fake company logos like"Morning Wood Lumber Company"and also banners from other TS2 sites like RibotLabs and Sims2Plaza?

Since you mentioned Wintermuteai... I made the mistake of paying for his/her work. The vehicles were terrible, no shadows on half of them, mesh's were screwed up, couldnt be recolored.....very disapointing. Just some warning for anyone thinking of paying as well. This is definately a HUGE improvement in quality :) 2 thumbs up!

I too downloaded his work off his site Simslice(didn't pay,i went to a site that's all about destruction and pirates if you know what im sayin'),and must say, back in 2005,it would of been acceptable, but 3 years later, and his stuff aged faster than sour milk.No textures and most didn't even have interiors.Shame really, cause some of the cars he made(RAV4,C230)i really wanted.Oh well, maybe Vo can pick up where he left off.

P.S. Wintermuteai,if you're seeing this,i mean no disrespect,seriously.And c'mon,you scooter chair over at MTS2 is pure genius!

I patched up the car, and toned down the shininesses

And I fixed up the door animations, but the sims will still open the car door in the middle of the car, so I asked F-P to help

Hey VoVi,

F-P is on his Vacation, he's back on June 30th.

Umm... I think i know why they open the door in the middle..

All of the EAXIS cars have a really long bonnet where the engine sits, being a car Captain Slow, the Samba Bus had a rear engine, optimzing cabin space, hence the driver and front passenger sit furthur forward... The Game doesn't know this due to EAxis being cool (YEAH RIGHT!) and not taking into account the fact that people would be able to create such awesome stuff for the game. The base mesh from the game (I'm guessing the Evasion Sedan?) has the long bonnet and the doors furthur back. The game still thinks that the VW Samba is the Evasion, so the doors would appear to be halfway down the car, because the engine is where the Sambas door is.

Hope this helps... Hit me up if you want it explained properly... I need to catch some z's!

Looks awesome anyway!
